Charlie and the Cocolate Factory
by Roald Dahl
Review by Caleb T.
The book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a about a contest for finding Willy Wonka’s golden ticket. Only five lucky golden tickets were sent around the country for the kids to find. Then the five lucky finders of Wonka’s golden ticket would have an adventure to taste and eat all they could eat in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.
The characters of Charlie and the Chocolate factory are: Willy Wonka, Charlie Bucket, Mrs. And Mr. Salt, Veruca Salt, Violet and Mrs. Beauregard, Mike and Mrs. Teavee, Augustus and Mrs. Gloop, Grandpa George, and Grandma Josephine. This book takes place in Charlie Bucket’s home town.
When I read the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory I liked it. Why? Because it had some really great fairy tale things happening in the story and the characters were really funny and their names really fit them and their roles were really interesting, also their personalities as well.
When I read Charlie and the chocolate factory I liked the part when Mrs. Beauregard’s daughter blew up into a gigantic blueberry. They had to suck all of the juice from out of her from the chewing gum she had chewed. I liked it because when she started eating the chewing gum, her nose started turning blue and she started blowing up into a gigantic blueberry.
Yes, I related to the character because I always love trying foods that I think are good. I don’t think whether it might not be ready to be tried; I just go on, and if it looks and smells done, I’ll try it. I think the message the author was trying to tell me is never take things for granted and always accept what you get and have. And never wish you had what you don’t have.
When I read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory I’ll rate the book a 4 because the story made me go back and rethink some memories in my past.
