Unjammed-A Blended Learning Initiative
In February of 2014, we announced that we would be sponsoring a Blended Learning Initiative, called Unjammed, for juvenile justice agencies interested in using technology to transform teaching and learning inside of their secure care facilities. After a two-stage application process, we selected seven participants: the state juvenile justice agencies from Alaska, Oregon, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Massachusetts along with the Los Angeles County Office of Education. During the spring we conducted site visits and selected teachers from the sites as our Teacher Innovation Fellows.
This website serves to showcase their work as well provide resources for other educators working within secure care facilities.
Mission: We support teachers who work in long-term secure facilities curate and implement engaging blended learning lessons and strategies in their classroom.
